Reza Behjat is an Obie Award-winning lighting designer based in New York. He made history as the first Iranian designer to work on Broadway with the critically acclaimed transfer of Sanaz Toossi’s Pulitzer Prize-winning ENGLISH at the Todd Haimes Theatre. His work has illuminated a wide range of Off-Broadway productions, including Safety Not Guaranteed (BAM), Still (DR2), What Became of Us (Atlantic Theater), All of Me (New Group), The Ally (Public Theater), Bees & Honey (MCC Theater), Hang Time (Flea), Good Enemy (Audible), and The Vagrant Trilogy (Public Theater). Other notable credits include the world premieres of Wish You Were Here (Playwrights Horizons) and ENGLISH (Atlantic Theater and Roundabout Theatre), for which he received a prestigious Obie Award for design. He is also the recipient of a Knight of Illumination Award for Nina Simone: Four Women.
