SPOTLIGHT RESIDENCY

An intensive residency for mid-career and established playwrights, amplifying artists’ voices by producing a series of their work, previously debuted or new, as three Signature shows.

This groundbreaking program offers a writer unprecedented freedom and support, including complete engagement in the artistic process, and gives the audience the rich, in-depth experience of an accomplished artist's body of work. Established more than 20 years ago (formerly Residency 1) as the inaugural residency of Signature Theatre, the program produces a series of plays from the body of work of one writer.
