Darrin Fleenor seeks to illustrate the fragility of the human ethos specifically through the lens/perspective of the Black community. The empathetic ease that subscribes with being an Artist allows us to articulate the thoughts and beliefs of ourselves but more importantly our peers. Artistry is such a strong sense of dignity due to its necessity of vulnerability. Normal people don’t choose to be artists because being vulnerable means to be human and most people forget that fragility takes practice and patience to be content with it shattering and resembling the broken pieces. There is art behind dignity, and dignity behind broken shards of humility being reconfigured by an artist trying to assemble a character's true and original aura. That being said, we all need growth and compassion for everyone's story in order to truly have Humility. I seek to grow in an environment that lets all broken voices be heard especially when they don’t use their voices to speak.
