Danielle joined the Undermain as Choreographer in August 2017 and has had the opportunity to both perform and direct at the theatre in previous years. She assumed her new role as Associate Artistic Director in September 2019. Her choreography has been seen professionally in the DFW metroplex at Kitchen Dog Theater, Circle Theatre, Stage West, and Theatre Three, and with Ballet Dallas (formerly Contemporary Ballet Dallas) and American Neoclassical Ballet (formerly Dallas Neoclassical Ballet). She is an educator, holding teaching positions at Eastfield College and Southern Methodist University, and a writer, contributing a column addressing issues in contemporary dance for TheaterJones.
Danielle holds a Ph.D. in Humanities-Aesthetic Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas, and earned her Master’s in Political Science and has a Bachelor of Business of Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of Dallas’ premiere dance theatre company, the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group.
