Originally from East Texas, Matt Lyle is a writer, actor, and director living in Dallas. He has performed for Kitchen Dog Theater, Dallas Theater Center, Classical Acting Company, Second Thought, Dallas Children's Theater, and Bootstraps Comedy. As a playwright, his plays are published by Broadway Play Publishing and have been produced around the country. He's had local productions at Theatre Three, Kitchen Dog Theater, Audacity, Circle Theater, Pegasus Theater, and Bootstraps. His plays, The Boxer, Hello Human Female, Barbecue Apocalypse and Cedar Springs or Big Scary Animals all received DFW Theater Critics Forum Awards for "Outstanding New Play" and Barbecue Apocalypse was nominated for an American Theatre Critics Association Steinberg New Play Award... but didn't win. :(
