Originally from Mexico, José was first introduced to ballet through musical theatre in his home country. He is a former Bossov Ballet Theatre (BBT) student, training under Natalya Getman since 2017, and a 2018 Maine Central Institute graduate. Currently, José is a college student in an arts management degree program. For the last few years, José has participated as a dancer in different performances, going on tour across Mexico, as well as appearing in on-screen performances.
