Natalya Getman
Artistic Director

Natalya Nikolaevna Getman, born in Russia, is a distinguished ballet professional with a direct lineage to Agrippina Vaganova through her teacher, Musaeva, a National Artist of the Soviet Union and a student of Balikova, one of Vaganova's early disciples. Natalya trained at the Vaganova Academy under Kovaleva and graduated with honors from the Uzbek Choreographic School.

Her early years as a selected gymnast for the Soviet Union’s Olympic training program instilled the discipline and artistry that later defined her ballet career.

As a professional dancer, she performed soloist and principal roles at the Turkmenistan State Opera and Ballet Theater before joining the Moscow Ballet. Her extensive touring career took her across the globe, inspiring her to bring the beauty, discipline, and methodology of Russian classical ballet to American audiences.

Since moving to the United States in 2000, Ms. Getman has dedicated herself to shaping a new generation of dancers with the expertise, innovation, and humanity required to thrive in the professional dance world.
As Artistic Director of Bossov Ballet Theatre, she is celebrated for her inspiring teaching style, original choreography, and ability to cultivate both exceptional dancers and extraordinary individuals.

"Natalya Getman is one of the finest teachers of classical dance I have met, a truly exceptional, inspired teacher of classical dance."
