SAMMY KERSHAW

Iconic entertainer, Sammy Kershaw, boasts three platinum and six gold albums, with over 5 million records and nearly 100 million songs sold. Dubbed the “heir apparent” to George Jones, the GRAMMY-nominated artist was a defining force in making the ‘90s a golden era for country music. His hits, including “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” and “Queen of My Doublewide Trailer,” among others, propelled his albums to multi-platinum status. Raised in Kaplan, Louisiana, Kershaw was influenced early by legends like Conway Twitty and George Jones. His reputation for remarkable vocals led to opportunities to open for these and other stars, earning Jones's respect and invitations to join him on stage.

Since his debut single, “Cadillac Style,” Kershaw has been compared to Jones, a comparison he embraced, staying true to his classic country sound. Hits like “Don’t Go Near the Water” and “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful” solidified his status as a traditional country artist, while “Love of My Life” showcased his talent as a balladeer. His albums, such as Don’t Go Near the Water and Haunted Heart, achieved million-seller status, adding to his legacy.

Kershaw continues to draw crowds with sell-out tours, both solo and with Collin Raye and Aaron Tippin on the Roots & Boots Tour across North America. Besides performing, he’s recording new music, with three albums in progress, and finalizing his eagerly awaited autobiography, promising to be as engaging as the gumbo he loves to make.

Sammy Kershaw's career has been a journey of ups and downs, but he remains focused on being “Better Than I Used to Be,” reflecting a commitment to growth and excellence.
