Mike Duva has been playing woodwind instruments since the age of 10. He started on the clarinet and by the time he finished high school he had added tenor and baritone sax. Mike received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from New Mexico State University then did graduate work at the University of North Texas. He was called to go “on the road” with the Glenn Miller Orchestra which he did for 11 years performing in all 50 states, Japan, South America, Iceland and Poland, to name a few places. Mike has performed with the likes of Bob Hope, Johnny Mathis, Mel Torme, Rosemary Clooney, Barry Manilow, Temptations, Four Tops, Nelson Riddle Orchestra and Frank Sinatra, Jr., to name a few. He continues to “freelance” around the Grand Strand.
