Professor Naomi Fanshier earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Pacific Lutheran University and holds a Master’s in Orchestral Conducting from Messiah University. She is currently a doctoral student at Liberty University, working toward a Doctorate in Music Education. As well as directing NU’s instrumental ensembles, Naomi is a lecturing music professor and serves as the Music Department chair. She also is an active freelance clarinetist and Music Director of the Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra. Naomi often arranges the music her orchestras perform and enjoys creating instrumental works in non-traditional genres. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband, Marc, and son, Carter.
