From the Greater Cincinnati area, soprano Ashley Patak is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Kentucky. She earned her Master of Music degree from the University of Kentucky and was a recipient of the Cassiana Schmidt Award Scholarship. During her graduate studies, she also served as a choral scholar. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Northern Kentucky University. Ashley’s operatic credits include Miss Goldentrill in Der Schauspieldirektor, Laurie in The Tender Land, and Laetitia in Old Maid and the Thief. She has appeared with Cincinnati Chamber Opera, ROKCincy Opera Outreach, and the May Festival Chorus. She has also worked with Chicago Summer Opera, where she covered the role of Miss Wordsworth and performed the role of Harry in Albert Herring. Ashley is excited to premiere the role of Francesca in the world premiere of Paul Moravec’s A Nation of Others.
