Jeremy Gillett
Director

Jeremy Gillett is an Assistant Visiting Professor of Acting.  He returned to UK in 2019 to perform Black and 25 in America as part of the 70 Years of Integration commemoration.  He is a 2021 semi-finalist in the Bay Area Playwrights Festival for his play The Get Back and a 2019 semi-finalist for the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O’Neil Theatre Center for his play Trap House. He was a 2018 Guest Artist for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region IV (KCACTF). 

Gillett earned a M.F.A. in Theatre and Film Performance from Arizona State University and B.FA. from the University of Kentucky.  He received a teaching fellowship at ASU and was  selected as The Broadway League and ATPAM First National Diversity Intern for Memphis. He is an Irene Ryan award recipient and a ZONI award nominated actor for his role as Chad Deity in The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity at the Stray Cat Theater in Phoenix, AZ.  Gillett was nominated as best supporting actor for his role in the independent film Raptors at the Golden State Film Festival.  He appeared in the independent films “Justice Served”, “Car Dogs, and “Hitting the Cycle”.

Gillett is member of the Screen Actors Guild and thrives on stage and in the classroom.
