Najiya is very excited to be a part of Black Lives Matter: 1619 to Now. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, she has appeared in several theater productions. She has played the role of Dorothy in The Wiz twice, Little Inez in Hairspray, and Moana in Moana Jr. Najiya's ability to sing and dance has given her the chance to sing background for Mali Music, an American recording artist, singer-songwriter, and producer at The Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards.
