Soprano, Erin Hannon, began her career in her hometown of Virginia Beach, VA, taking on roles with the Virginia Musical Theater and Virginia Opera. She continued to perform with the Virginia Opera, and sang the role of Papagena in Mozart’s Die Zauberflote in Rome, Italy, while pursuing a degree in music performance.. In 2005, Erin was invited to Tokyo, Japan, to record Kakehashi: That We Might Live, a 70-minute work commemorating the sacrifices of WWII in the Pacific by Composer, Stephen Melillo. Erin has continued her studies at The Boston Conservatory where she received a Masters of Music in Opera Performance and is currently working on a Doctorate of Music at the University of Kentucky. She has since performed many roles, in both the United States and Europe, and is now an Emerging Artist for Vocal Artist Management. Most recently, Erin has performed the role of Elizabeth Proctor in Robert Ward’s opera The Crucible, performed concerts at the Italian and French Embassy, and premiered the role of Betsy Todd in the new American Opera Mary Todd. Other roles include Mademoiselle Silberklang in Der Schauspieldirektor, Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde, The Wardrobe in Beauty and the Beast Broadway, and Suor Angelica in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Mimi in La Boheme, Arabella in Strauss’s Arabella, Violetta in La Travatia and Magda in La Rondine.
