Blakeley Burger has been studying violin and guitar for 18 years. She holds a B.M. in violin performance and a minor in Spanish from the University of Louisville. Experienced in a broad assortment of styles including oldtime/bluegrass, classical, and jazz, Blakeley has performed at countless venues throughout Southeastern USA and the Midwest. She made her international debut in 2018 when she performed as part of a Bluegrass trio at La Universidad del Bosque in Bogot√°, Colombia with other students from the University of Louisville. Most recently, she worked as a session musician for JuneAppal Recordings and spent the past year touring as the fiddle player for Americana artist, Grayson Jenkins. Blakeley is currently finishing a Folk Arts Apprenticeship with Jesse Welles, musician and producer for Tyler Childers, through which they study traditional fiddle styles from Kentucky. Currently residing in Louisville, Kentucky, she spends her time performing, recording, composing, and teaching online music lessons. Blakeley will release her debut album, "Weight of the World," this summer, which will be available for digital streaming and download.
