Over the past eight years, Kara Powell has held positions both on and off stage. She has played Eulalie Mackechnie Shinn in Music Man and participated in Independence High School's One Acts Festivals as both an actor and the co-director of Small Actors. Additionally, she has held the positions of Co-Head of Costumes Crew at Independence High School, Wardrobe Crew and Crew Chief at UK, and Assistant Director of The Laramie Project at UK.
