An Associate Dean at Asbury University, he received his doctorate from UK. Johnie is the Assistant Conductor / Arranger for The Lexington Singers. He is a composer / arranger / orchestrator for groups, schools, and orchestras nationally and internationally. Dean has been composing / arranging music for 40 years, with more than 200 published works, including three piano arrangement books published by FJH Publishers. "The Pirates of Penzance Medley" was performed by the Florida All-State High School TTBB Chorus and by the Texas All-State Men's High School TTBB Choir. He and his wife, Mindy, have two daughters and four grandchildren.
