Tenor Elijah Garrett, native of Paducah, KY, studies vocal performance under the pedagogy of Dr. Angelique Clay at UK. He is a 2020 AllTech scholar at UK. He has performed the role of Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd and covered the role of Don Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro at Red River Lyric Opera. Elijah was last heard singing the Act II Quintet as Le Remendado in Carmen for the UKOT Opera Stars of Tomorrow Gala. He is passionate about African American Spirituals and exposing audiences to black composers and poets.
