Joseph “Jojo” Edmonds has been dancing since way before he can remember. However, His formal training started 12 years ago at the Lexington Dance Factory where he began his journey in mastering all the styles of dance. He’s most confidently and consistently creates hip hop and contemporary dances, but enjoys performing ballet. In this past 12 years Jojo has been crowned Mr. Dance of the Bluegrass and Interview Award Winner in 2021, this allowed him to compete at the Dance Masters of America where he was awarded the Gene Wright Scholarship for best Lyrical Mr. Dance performance. He now works with a number of companies and organizations in and out of Lexington like the Fam, The Allegro Dance Project, The African American Ballet Troupe and The UK Dance Team. Where he was introduced as the first male to ever tryout and be accepted as a member of the team.
