Robert's work has been featured at the Santa Fe, Sarasota, and Fort Worth Operas, the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and includes numerous productions with The San Jose Stage and Redwood Curtain theatres in Northern California. In academic settings, the SIU, Carbondale, Georgetown College, Butte College, CSU, Chico, and Cal Poly Humboldt campuses have welcomed him as a theatre professor, scenic designer, and scenic artist. For over a decade he served as the Studio Manager for the Kentucky Educational Television Network (KET) and he continues (for over 25 years!) as the scenic designer and construction supervisor for UK Opera Theatre's It's a Grand Night for Singing! He is currently a professor of Theatre Design at Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata, California.
