Psaume 24

1   La terre appartient à l'Éternel et tout ce qui s'y trouve, la terre habitable et ceux qui l'habitent.

2   Car Il l'a fondée sur les mers, et l'a établie sur les fleuves.

3   Qui est-ce qui montera à la montagne de l'Éternel, et qui est-ce qui demeurera au lieu de sa sainteté,

4   ce sera l'homme qui a les mains pures, et le cœur net, dont l'âme n'est point portée à la fausseté et qui ne jure point pour tromper.

5   Il recevra la bénédiction de l'Éternel et la justice de Dieu son sauveur.

6   Telle est la génération de ceux qui Le cherchent, qui cherchent Ta face en Jacob.

7   Portes, élevez vos têtes, portes éternelles, haussez-vous, et le Roi de gloire entrera.

8   Qui est ce Roi de gloire?  C'est l'Éternel fort et puissant dans les combats.

9   Portes, élevez vos têtes, élevez-vous aussi, portes éternelles; Et le Roi de gloire entrera.

10 Qui est ce Roi de gloire? C'est l'Éternel des armées, c'est Lui qui est le Roi de gloire. Éternel.

1 The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
