How long have you played your instrument(s)?

How long have you been a Wilmington Symphony Orchestra musician?
Going on 2 years.

What do you do for a career?
I’m attending graduate school at UNC Greensboro studying trombone performance.

Where did you grow up?
Hampstead, NC

What is your favorite song, artist, and/or musical memory?
This is a hard one! My favorite song varies, depending on what standard or jazz song I’m trying to learn haha! My favorite tune to play is probably Alone Together by Arthur Schwartz. My favorite artist is probably Maria Schneider. My favorite musical memory has to be when the WSO played a tribute concert to Aretha Franklin with Capathia Jenkins and Ryan Shaw. Also playing in the pit orchestras for musicals at Thalian Hall.

Favorite meal or restaurant?
Bdubs (Buffalo Wild Wings)

Favorite beverage?
Love me some Pepsi.

What is your favorite vacation?
Going to the beach or mountains with my family!

What's your pet situation?
I have one dog named Daffney.

What do you want people to know about the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra?
It is an amazing orchestra with some of the most kind and talented musicians, that I’m happy to be apart of! We play such amazing music and you will always have a good time at the concert!

How are you keeping yourself occupied while being at home all day?
I have been running, swimming and weight lifting. I also try and shed as much as I can but also enjoy just being a couch potato from time to time!
