c2 pioneered and introduced live theatrical captioning for patrons with hearing loss and is responsible for launching theatre captioning programs around the country. They have collaborated with theatres nationwide, providing live on-site captioning, digital captioning, and subtitled captioning. Their work includes providing all the live open captioning on Broadway, and at off-Broadway theatres, Kennedy and Lincoln Centers, national performing arts venues and touring houses, and top-shelf regional Tony theatres, large and small, coast to coast. c2 remains dedicated to maintaining the artistic integrity and authentic experience of live theatre, ensuring that all audience members can enjoy the performance equally.


ASL Interpretation

Al Raci (CI/CT) is pleased to be back at Writers Theatre. Past credits include Chicago Shakespeare Theatre at Navy Pier, Victory Gardens, The Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre, Chicago’s Children Theatre, Paramount Theater, Oil Lamp Theatre, Wheaton Drama, Athenaeum Theater, and The Chicago Lyric Opera. He works as a freelance interpreter in the Chicagoland area. Al would like to thank WT for making accessibility possible here for the Deaf Community.

Sheila Kettering (CI/CT) is thrilled to be back with Writer’s Theater interpreting Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812. Sheila has been interpreting in the Chicagoland area in a variety of settings, such as medical, business, educational, video relay interpreting, and is especially passionate about theatrical interpreting. Some highlights of her theatrical experiences have been, The Music Man (The Goodman Theater), Beautiful (The Paramount Theater), West Side Story (The Lyric Opera), The Notebook (Chicago Shakespeare Theater).  I am so grateful to have this wonderful opportunity to work again with Writer’s Theater!
