Praised for her “creamy and effortlessly produced soprano” (Texas Classical Review), Iowa-native Jocelyn Hansen is at home in the worlds of both opera and musical theater. DFW credits include Rigoletto (The Dallas Opera), Newsies (Lyric Stage), Titanic in Concert (Uptown Players), Mame (Lyric Stage) and The New Moon (Lyric Stage). Her vocal flexibility has been showcased on concert stages across Texas, including with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Amarillo Symphony, and the Abilene Philharmonic. Regional credits include The Sound of Music (MIOpera), South Pacific (Ohio Light Opera), Into the Woods (Ohio Light Opera), and The Yeomen of the Guard (College Light Opera Company). In addition to performing, Jocelyn proudly serves as the Voice Coordinator of Musical Theatre Voice at the University of Arlington.
