Alan A. Costa is thrilled to bring his vision to Weathervane's production of Dial M for Murder! Alan most recently crafted the backdrops for Seat-of-the-Pants’ productions of Amerikin and Bach at Leipzig. His previous Weathervane designs include The Mousetrap; And Then There Were None; Les Liaisons Dangereuses; Almost, Maine; and 2023’s 8x10. Beyond set design, Alan has made his mark behind the scenes as stage manager for Doubt: A Parable and Red, as well as assistant stage manager for Peter and the Starcatcher. He’s also stepped into the spotlight, most notably as President Roosevelt in Annie. His passion for the craft extends to props design, contributing to productions of Young Frankenstein and Art of Deduction: Inside the Mind of Sherlock Holmes. When he’s not immersed in the world of theater, Alan is a devoted baseball enthusiast, with a deep appreciation for the game’s rich history. After more than 40 years with FirstEnergy, he now enjoys retirement in Akron with his wife, Pamela Parks Costa. Together, they cherish time with their two children and five grandchildren.
