Laura Neihaus
Mama Bear

Laura Niehaus is excited to be returning to the stage as Mama Bear in this story about radical self-acceptance and love. With her Bear family of Holden and Brian by her side, this show has been "just right." She was last seen on stage as the buoyant Bavarian, Mrs. Gloop, in Weathervane's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. You may have also seen her in Weathervane's The Prom, Matilda, Sister Act, 8x10s, Clue, Alias Grace, The Who’s Tommy, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Bye Bye Birdie, It Shoulda Been You, and many more. Laura also enjoys spending her time with the design teams — making props, painting murals, and doing whatever odd tasks they find for her. Outside of the theater, she does prevention, outreach, and education for an anti-violence organization. Laura would like to thank her mom for always supporting her creativity, empathy, curious spirit, quirky habits, and wild imagination.
