Tony Heffner is overjoyed to be able to cross another dream role off his list with this production! Tony has performed in many productions in the greater Cleveland area, including Cain Park, Blank Canvas Theatre, and Beck Center. Tony is no stranger to the Weathervane stage, as some of his favorite credits were performed here, including The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Quasimodo, 2018 Chanticleer Award Winner for Best Lead Actor in a Musical), The Who’s Tommy (Tommy), Jersey Boys (Frankie Valli, 2025 Chanticleer Award Nominee for Best Lead Performer in a Musical), and most recently Come From Away (Ensemble). Some of Tony’s other standout credits include Next to Normal (Gabe), Bonnie and Clyde: A New Musical (Clyde Barrow), Newsies (Jack Kelly), and Catch Me If You Can (Frank Abagnale Jr.). Tony first heard about Parade when he was a junior in high school and immediately fell in love with its beautiful score and heartbreaking, poignant story. He had the chance to perform in it as a senior in high school; however, not as Leo Frank. It has been almost a decade and a half since then, and as the saying goes, “Good things come to those who wait.” He cannot wait any longer to share this amazing production with all of you. During the day, Tony works for Cleveland Play House in the education department, teaching CARE, a social-emotional learning and trauma-informed care through theatre and drama curriculum, at Dike School of the Arts and Nathan Hale Elementary in Cleveland. Tony would like to thank his family and friends for always supporting him in all he does. GBOGB! For Sarah and Gabriel, always.
