Toussaint English (Miles) Toussaint English (Miles) is an alumnus of The University of Akron, where he earned a master's degree in Music Composition. Since 2013, Toussaint has been a regular bassist at Weathervane Playhouse, performing in many favorite musicals, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Something Rotten!, Aida, Newsies (keyboards), The Color Purple, Elf, Memphis, Dreamgirls, Bye Bye Birdie, School of Rock, Come From Away, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Amen Corner, Rent, Shrek the Musical, and Jersey Boys. His acting experience includes appearances in the musicals Annie Get Your Gun, The Music Man, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Dracula Baby. He also starred in the lead role of the Shaft trilogy of student-produced films: Shaft: The Akron Chronicles (2009), Shaft: Arnett's Revenge (2009), and Shaft's Last Blast (2010), all of which are available on YouTube. On May 9, 2026, Toussaint made his Weathervane Playhouse acting debut as Mr. Witherspoon/U.S. in the hit comedy Arsenic and Old Lace. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Toussaint shares: “I am thankful for my Weathervane Playhouse family.”
