Barry Wood
Playwright

is an amateur playwright living with his wife and teenage children in Eastern England. He was thrilled to hear that he is a finalist for the third time in Weathervane’s 10-minute play competition, and is grateful to everyone involved in bringing Outside the Box to life. When he entered the 8x10 TheatreFest competition for the first time in 2016 with, Schrodinger’s Cash, it was one of the first plays he’d written. And being chosen to be performed spurred him on to continue writing. Since then he’s been fortunate to have had plays produced in competitions and festivals all over the world. So, he’d like to thank Weathervane Playhouse, and in particular, Scott Davis for their encouragement over the past 5 years. “I’ll be delighted if Outside the Box makes the audience laugh,” said Barry, “That would make my day. But if it doesn’t,” he added, “They only have Scott to blame.”
