Although primarily a director, Stephen has worn many artistic hats in his career including arts administrator, actor, designer and in recent years, playwright. His plays include the musical, Storybook Christmas, Apples and Elephants, Confinamento, Nice and Kind, Hope the Firefly, Kreon and FDR Speaks. Leadership positions have included Department Head at the University of Northern Iowa, Head of the Performing Arts at the University of Louisiana and Chair of the Department of Theatre at LaGrange College in Georgia. He is a graduate of the Interdisciplinary Fine Arts Ph.D. program at Texas Tech University. www.stevetaft.com
