Playwright and poet Jennifer O’Grady’s plays have been produced across the U.S. and internationally. Her full-length plays have won the Rising Artist Award, the Henley Rose Award and many other honors. Her short plays have won audience-choice awards and are published in multiple editions of The Best Ten-Minute Plays (Smith and Kraus) and Best New Ten-Minute Plays (Applause Books). Her plays are also included in Best Women’s Stage Monologues, Best Monologues for Women 18-35, some scripts literary magazine, Feels Blind Literary and other publications. She is also the author of two poetry books, White (Mid-List First Series Award for Poetry) and Exclusions & Limitations (MadHat Press). Her poems appear in numerous places including Poetry, Harper’s, The New Republic, The Kenyon Review, The Writer’s Almanac, Poetry Daily and American Poetry: The Next Generation. Born and raised in New York City, she earned an MFA in poetry from Columbia University and a BA from Vassar, where she won awards for her writing. She and her family live in Pelham, NY.
