Eileen Moushey

Over the past four decades, Eileen Moushey has had a major impact on the creation of the Weathervane Playhouse of today. The list of her many contributions includes actor, director, Women’s Board Member and President, Board of Trustee Member and President, and chair of two capital campaigns that raised over 1.5 million dollars. Another of her enduring contributions is the creation of the 8 X 10 TheaterFest.

The impact of the 8X10 TheaterFest has been considerable: It has brought to Weathervane Playhouse new playwrights, actors, directors, designers, and audiences, and it has given established volunteers additional opportunities to perform, direct, and work behind the scenes.

Eileen is a freelance writer and director. Besides three decades of writing and directing audience-participation murder mysteries, Eileen has also been involved in many other projects including an educational television series for a local PBS affiliate. Two of these garnered regional Emmy awards. Eileen and her husband, Stephen, live in their "empty nest" in Manchester, Missouri.
