Darlene

Reva Golden is an Akron native and a graduate of John R. Buchtel High School. She attended Ohio University and then moved to Houston, Texas. Reva started her professional acting career in Houston and was seen in productions at the Stages Repertory Theatre and as a member of the Ensemble Theatre Company, which holds the distinction of being one of the nation’s largest African-American theatres. Upon returning to Akron, she continued her performing career at Magical Theatre Company in Barberton, where she was seen in productions of Rapunzel as the Witch, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde as Mother, To Kill a Mockingbird as Calpurnia and Harriet Tubman in Harriet: An American Moses. Reva was also last seen in the production of Intimate Apparel at the Ensemble Theatre in Cleveland Heights as Mrs. Dickson. Reva, however, is no stranger to the Weathervane stage, where she again was seen in the role of Calpurnia in To Kill a Mockingbird and as Ruth Younger in A Raisin in the Sun. Reva is glad to be back on the stage at Weathervane and she hopes you enjoy the show!
