Andrew Draper
Trombone, Holliday HS
  1. How long have you been in the YSO? I have been in the YSO for 5 years.
  2. What has been your greatest accomplishment in high school? I would say my biggest accomplishment thus far has been earning a seat in the All-State Band, as I was able to do everything to prepare for the auditions individually.
  3. Where are you headed after high school? (if you have a school name, that’s great – otherwise whatever your plan is!) I will be attending Vanderbilt University to study Political Science.
  4. What advice might you give to younger musicians? I know this has probably been said before, but I would say to practice. There is no other way to get better besides practicing.
  5. Anything else you want to say? I would like to thank the YSO for giving me a chance to grow. I have grown exponentially better over these past years, almost entirely because of my involvement with the organization.
