Audiences may recognize KSU graduate Shelby Carlisle from performances in community and professional engagements including the Aurora and Hudson Community Theatres, Rubber City Theatre, and the Millennial Theatre Project. She was a semi- finalist in the 2021 CS Music International Vocal Competition Opera Division and performs jazz music with big band, Polar Vortex. Carlisle credits Donald Ray McCardle and Shannon Eller for her success in performing arts. Favorite stage credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream (Titania, Hermia), The Crucible (Abigail), Brigadoon (Jeanne), The Tempest (Miranda), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Philia) and Lizzie Borden of Fall River (Lizzie). Shelby wishes everyone a happy and healthy theatre experience and dedicates her performances in loving memory of Mark Brown.
