De'Ontae Murray (a rising junior majoring in musical theatre at Kent State University) grew up in Akron, Ohio, with his mother and grandmother. He enjoys hanging out with friends, participating in extracurricular activities, attending theatrical performances, and most of all, being involved in the arts in any capacity. De'Ontae hopes to one day have a foot on both sides of the theater, whether it be on stage or behind the scenes. De'Ontae lives by the motto "Be the change you want to see in the world!" He believes that by making art, you can pave the way for a better world not just for yourself but for everyone around you.
