Tong Xu is delighted to participate in Cabaret as Lulu and the Emcee understudy at Weathervane Playhouse once again with this outstanding production team and cast. Tong graduated from Beijing Film Academy majoring in Sound Production for Film. She played multiple supporting roles in a Chinese drama called The VI Group of Fatal Case. Tong began her Weathervane journey on stage in 2022, gaining endless inspiration and priceless experience from different productions, including 8x10: The Eileen Moushey TheatreFest, Clue, Newsies, Sister Act, and Something Rotten! Off stage, Tong enjoys being a fitness instructor and an interpreter. She also plays in a local folk-rock band "hand + noise" as the vocalist/pianist. Tong wants to thank her husband for his love and support, as well as Weathervane Playhouse for its best sense of community.
