Kathleen Faubel
Choreographer

An Akron native, Kathleen graduated from the Musical Theatre Program at Baldwin Wallace University and is a proud member of SAG/AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association. Kathleen performed professionally for over a decade in New York City in Broadway workshops/concerts, internationally as Belle in Beauty and the Beast in Hong Kong, China, and in many productions at top regional theatres across the country. Locally, she has performed at Great Lakes Theater Festival, Playhouse Square, Cain Park, Dobama Theatre, and the Beck Center. Kathleen has starred in national commercials including Olay skincare, Red Lobster and Axe Body Spray and her primetime TV credits include Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Kathleen serves as the Director of Education here at Weathervane and heads the new program WMTC (Weathervane Musical Theatre Company) for aspiring young artists. She has taught dance, acting, voice, and musical theatre for many years and her directing/choreographing credits include Shrek, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Little Mermaid, Spamalot, The Descendants, and The Pajama Game. Most recently she was the co-choreographer for Weathervane’s summer hit, “Something Rotten”. She's crazy about her husband, Jarid, their little boy, Ben, and their two puggles (Maple and Bacon).
