After a 10+ year hiatus, Michael D. Fisher returns to the stage as Luke in James Baldwin's The Amen Corner at Weathervane Playhouse. Fisher has performed memorable roles on Northeast Ohio's stages such as Ike in Mark Leonard's Crossroad Blues: The Last Days of Robert Johnson; Ananias Boyd in Langston Hughes' Simply Heavenly; Brother Boxer and Luke in James Baldwin's The Amen Corner; Lucien P. Smith in Tom Griffin's The Boys Next Door; Rev. Avery Brown in August Wilson's The Piano Lesson; George Murchinson and Bobo in Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun; and Walter Thomas in Langston Hughes & Zora Neale Hurston's Mule Bone. In addition to writing and directing his own theatrical works, Fisher serves as Executive Assistant to the CEO of Cleveland Public Library.
