A Note from WMTC Founder/Director Kathleen Faubel

Welcome to our 2025 Weathervane Musical Theatre Company Showcase! We are delighted to introduce you to 26 of the most talented students in Northeast Ohio. Weathervane Musical Theatre Company (fondly known as WMTC) is Northeast Ohio's premier training program. We are proud to offer top tier training in musical theatre to help our students prepare for the professional world, the competitive world of musical theatre college pre-screens and auditions, and nurture their individual artistic journeys.

Our WMTC instructors are professionals of the highest caliber in their own fields and they are also committed to creating a positive learning environment for WMTC students; investing passionately in their development both on and off the stage (or tv/film screens!). Having just been around over a year, our WMTC alum have already graced the stages of Cleveland's professional Equity stages, including Great Lakes Theater Festival, Porthouse Theatre, and The Cleveland Play House. We are so proud of their achievements and thrilled to help them in their audition journeys.

WMTC students have been accepted into the company by audition only and commit their Saturdays to leveled training classes, rotating each Saturday between Dance Technique, Musical Theatre/Vocal Technique, and Acting Technique classes. Their curriculum for each of these subjects changes every four weeks. Curriculum sessions include (but are not limited to):

Audition Technique class, How to Cut Music Properly, Marketing Yourself and Branding, Professional Rehearsal Etiquette, Contemporary Acting and Monologue Work, Classical Acting and Monologue Work, TV/Film/Commercial Technique, Ballet Dance Technique, Jazz Dance Technique, Tap Dance Technique, Contemporary Dance Technique, College Audition Prep class, and Performance Lab (which has been our last four weeks preparing for this very showcase!). We are confident that this curriculum will prepare our students for the extremely competitive demands of this business.

WMTC students also get to enjoy exclusive masterclasses by industry professionals helping them build their network and connections within the business.  And a free-professional headshot is provided each year.

For more information and to schedule an audition for next year's WMTC company, please go HERE

Our showcase this evening involves four "Mini-Musicals." This will give each company member a moment to shine and get a performance opportunity on our beautiful Founders Theater stage.

Enjoy selections from Legally Blonde, The Secret Garden, Peter Pan and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

Thank you for supporting youth arts!

Most sincerely,

Kathleen Faubel
