Julie Kittsley has been living, acting, and singing in WNY most of her life. Some of her favorite roles include Titania, Roselind, Gertrude, and other roles in Shakespeare in Delaware Park including Witch 1 in the Artie Award-Winning, all-female MACBETH. She has also played Dolly, Sally Bowles, Peter Pan, Fairy Godmother, starred as Woman 1 in JACQUES BREL IS ALIVE AND WELL AND LIVING IN PARIS, and portrayed both Amy and Joanne in COMPANY.
In 2022, she won the Artie and the Spree award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Tallulah Bankhead at New Phoenix Theatre.
Most recently she has been seen singing the jazz greats at the Bittersweet Lounge in the Lafayette Hotel. She has also been heard singing at the Elmwood Lounge, Hot Mama’s Canteen, and did her one-woman cabaret show, OVER URALS AND UNDER THE RADAR here in the Alleyway Cabaret. When she’s not writing, painting and spending lots of time with her grandson Alistaire, you can catch her as Marian DeForest in the upcoming production of IT WAS A WONDERFUL LIFE at the Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel.
