Kathy Liticker is a graduate of Eisenhower High School. She earned a degree in Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Music Education from The University of Akron.
She was the Conductor of LaSill Optimist Youth orchestra. She began her teaching career in Oklahoma before moving to Ohio, where she taught private violin and viola lessons and played in several symphonies including the Cleveland Woman's Orchestra, Stow Symphony, and the Akron Pops Symphony. Performances with The Cleveland Woman’s Orchestra include accompanying viola soloist Eliesha Nelson, a violist of the Cleveland Orchestra, and performing regularly in Severance Hall.
She began her public education career in Willard Ohio as the Orchestra Director for the school system. While in Willard she also worked with the Mansfield Youth Symphony leading sectionals for Percy Hall. She taught for Kent City School as the middle school orchestra director, as well as being the assistant director of the Stow Youth Symphony. For the past 10 years, she was the orchestra director at Lawton High School and served as the District Orchestra Supervisor for Lawton Public Schools. In addition, she teaches adjunct violin and viola lessons at Cameron University.
