Composer Bio-

Matthew Curley is a music educator, percussionist, and musician currently residing in Connecticut.

Matt is Currently a Middle School Band Director in Darien, CT. Matt previously held the positions of Band Director at Charles H. Barrows STEM Academy in CT, Band Director at Coffee County Central High School and K-5 music teacher at Hillsboro Elementary in Coffee County, Tennessee.

Matthew earned his Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. He studied under David Smith & Patrick Smith. After completing his Bachelor's degree, Matthew went on to finish his Master's of Music in Percussion Performance from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. At MTSU, he served as a GTA with the percussion & band departments. Matt studied with Lalo Davila, Julie Davila, Derrick Phillips, and other distinguished faculty at MTSU.
