Welcome to our 36th Season!
Nearly 50 years ago on August 17, 1977, Elvis Aaron Presley died at just 42 - way too young by any measure. And while I must admit, I was never an Elvis fanatic, I was certainly aware of his music and have often wondered if he would have ever made it to the Broadway stage.
Luckily for us, his music did get to Broadway in ALL SHOOK UP. It's not really just a jukebox musical...the book is fun and based loosely on themes from several Shakespeare plays. After watching rehearsals the past few weeks, I actually am on my way to becoming a bona fide Elvis Fan.
But that's just the beginning. Ten other full-scale productions round out the season - six of which, like ALL SHOOK UP - have never played here. We hope you'll come back and see some of the shows we have on tap. Chris Balestriere (Chad) Chris is all shook up to be back at his favorite theater in Fairfield County. Tyler Boudreau (Ensemble) Tyler is excited and grateful to make his theatre debut at Curtain Call. He once played bari sax in the pit for a production West Side Story at Hamilton College. Tyler is also a teacher based in Greenwich, CT, as well as an amateur musician, comedian, writer, and podcaster.
Lauren Braconi (Ensemble) Lauren is excited to be back at Curtain Call! She was most recently seen as a featured dancer in The Spongebob Musical (Curtain Call) and an Angel in Anything Goes (Curtain Call). Outside of theatre, Lauren is a trained dancer, color guard performer, and marketing professional.
Julia Carey Johnson (Miss Sandra) Julia is thrilled to be making her Curtain Call debut! She recently returned to the stage as Patty Simcox in Grease at Wilton Playshop. Favorite past roles include Cathy in The Last Five Years, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, and Dani in Dani Girl, all performed while living in Shanghai, China, where she also produced and directed Fun Home. Julia is a career educator and yoga teacher at Power Yoga Collective. She lives in Stamford with her husband and son. Thank you to the Curtain Call community for this amazing opportunity!
Kiara Casseus (Lorraine) Kiara is thrilled to be a part of All Shook Up for her first production here at Curtain Call! Some of her most recent credits are APO Theatre Workshops at the University of NC at Greensboro, Sister Act at Northwest School of the Arts, and Cabaret Night at Northwest School of the Arts. DINA DESSNER (Mayor Matilda) Dina couldn't be happier to return to the Curtain Call stage after appearing as Bonnie (& others) in Come From Away. She is a voice actor and radio broadcaster with a BA in Theater Arts, and can occasionally be found behind a sewing machine making costumes for various productions in the tri-state area. Voice credits include national campaigns for Disney, LEGO, Morgan Stanley, and PBS, indie video games, and ADR. Jimmy Meisterich (Ensemble) Jimmy is back at Curtain Call in yet another fantastic dance-a-thon show in All Shook Up! He brings to life roles including the universally beloved and iconic "Guy 2," and a Bum for the second show in a row, and has the absolute pleasure of sharing the stage with so many of his great friends. Jimmy has previously been seen in Curtain Call shows like Guys and Dolls and Urinetown, and has worked backstage for Anastasia, The SpongeBob Musical, and Anything Goes, among others. Savannah Belle Miller (Ensemble,Dance Captain) Savannah is delighted to be stepping back on stage after a long intermission, where her last performance was in 2019. Some of her favorite onstage roles include Marty (Grease), Ali (Mamma Mia), and Nancy (Oliver!). She’s grateful to the cast and production team of All Shook Up for welcoming her back —and for reminding her why she loves this so much. Chris Nardi (Jim Haller) Chris is excited to be in another Curtain Call show! He was most recently seen in Guys and Dolls (Big Jule). Amy Plent (Ensemble) Amy returned to the stage after a 20ish year hiatus in 2023 to play Alabama Miller in TPNC’s production of Drop Dead! Since then she has been seen onstage at Curtain Call in The Sound of Music (2024: Nun/Baroness Von Elberfeld) and Anything Goes! (2025: Ensemble) and backstage doing various things for lots of other shows. Thank you to the All Shook Up creative team for this opportunity and to Curtain Call for providing the creative home I did not realize I was missing until I found you.
Zully Ramos (Sylvia) Zully is SHOOK and excited to be back at Curtain Call! Jacob Ruiz (Ensemble) Born and raised in Yonkers, NY, Jacob caught the theater bug in high school and has been performing ever since. He has been found in roles such as: TJ in Sister Act, Crazy Mario in A Bronx Tale, Berger in Hair, Jesus in Godspell, and Nigel in Something Rotten! In spring of 2023, Jacob graduated from Manhattanville with his BFA in Musical Theater. Jacob would like to thank his family and all his friends for their constant love, support, and encouragement. Andre Valdez-White (Ensemble) Andre Valdez-White is from Virginia. His passion for the arts started in competitive cheer and dance, reaching National and World Championship levels. He continued to excel through coaching all ages in competitive cheer and choreography, receiving many awards. Andre moved to New York in 2008 to pursue a dance career and have performed with various artists, commercials, campaigns and several years in New Yorks’ night-life entertainment world. Due to a career change to Stamford; Andre continues to broaden his passion for the arts and has performed in community theater in Rent, Jesus Christ Superstar, Guys and Dolls and adding his latest venture All Shook Up with the loving support of his husband Diego.
Diego Valdez-White (Ensemble) Diego has been a long-term New York resident since childhood. Diego developed a passion for creative expression from an early age achieving the position of 1st chair violin. He has studied at Broadway Dance Center with concentration in Jazz and Hip-Hop techniques, attended Art and Design and Fashion industries excelling in fine art, and an Aveda graduate. Diego has expressed his creative style as a Stylist exhibiting his talents through Campaigns with Clairol, Balenciaga, Revlon, Krewe JVN Hair and a select clientele. The production of Guys and Dolls was his introduction to community theater and reignited his passion for creative expression through stage performance. With the continued support of his husband he is moving forward in the production of All Shook Up.
Samantha Van Nostrand (Ensemble) Samantha is thrilled to be back for her sixth show on the Kweskin stage! Previous roles include Soupy Sue in Urinetown, Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes, Julie Nichols in Tootsie, Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music, and Ensemble in The Wizard of Oz. Prior to joining Curtain Call, performances included Ensemble credits in The Bodyguard, Urinetown, and Hairspray.
Jonathan Wu (Dennis) Jonathan has been involved with Curtain Call since 2003. His other on stage appearances include: Spamalot, Rent, Bonnie and Clyde, Ragtime, Newsies, A Christmas Story, Something Rotten, Groundhog Day, Young Frankenstein, Come From Away and White Christmas. Jonathan would like to thank Tommy and the production team for the opportunity to play Dennis. No blue suede shoes were harmed in the making of this production.
Scott Borowka (Lighting Designer) Scott is an accomplished Lighting Designer with over 20 years of experience in the field. He designs lights for theater, dance, and live events. Scott has collaborated with Curtain Call Theater on more than 15 productions including last season's Come From Away. Currently, Scott is the Technical Director / Designer at Greenwich High School. Meghan Connolly (Technical Director/Scenic Design) Graduate of AMDA with a concentration in Musical Theatre, has worked for Hudson Warehouse, Bucks County Playhouse, and numerous community theatres in multiple positions including Production Stage Manager, Scenic Designer, Scenic Carpenter, and Scenic Painter. Much love to her husband Jamie and daughter Savannah for all of their support and encouragement!
Tommy DeSalvo (Director) Tommy is excited to direct All Shook Up alongside such an incredibly talented cast and dedicated production team. Onstage, he was most recently seen as Harry the Horse in Guys and Dolls, a Gangster Fish in The SpongeBob Musical, and Moonface Martin in Anything Goes. While he may keep finding himself typecast as a gangster, he insists he didn’t choose the gangster life—the gangster life chose him. Offstage at Curtain Call, Tommy directed The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and has stage managed numerous productions, most recently Urinetown and Come From Away. He has also served as the Advisor and Director of the Stamford High School Drama program for many years. By day, Tommy is the Director of Finance at the Children's Learning Centers of Fairfield County, Inc. and is proud to serve on Curtain Call's Board of Directors. Tommy would like to thank Matt and Kelly for their creativity, collaboration, and shared passion throughout this production, as well as his friends and family for their unwavering love and support.
Michael Kraus (Assistant Stage Manager, Props Team) Michael is thrilled to be part of All Shook Up and to work with such a talented cast and creative team - especially the lovely and talented props lead, Renata Montalto. Some of his recent Assistant Stage Manager credits include Tootsie, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, A Murder Is Announced, Big River, and Sister Act. When he’s not behind the scenes, Michael also enjoys appearing onstage. His most recent role was Harry Scrooge in The Three Scrooges, but he also has various credits in 1776, Something Rotten, Elf, Newsies, and Damn Yankees, to name just a few. Prior to coming aboard the All Shook Up team, Michael debuted the role of a lifetime: grandfather to his first adorable grandchild, Oliver. He is grateful to the entire production team for the opportunity to continue learning, creating, and boogieing in the wings. He is especially thankful to his wife and family for their consistent encouragement and support.
Megan Latte Morello (Costume Design) Megan is the Wardrobe Manager and Resident Costume Designer at Curtain Call, as well as the Costume Director at Greenwich Academy. Beyond costuming, she advocates for stillbirth awareness through Count the Kicks in CT. She works in honor of her son Brayden. Love to Beau and Tony for their constant support.
Kelly Nayden (Choreographer) Kelly received a BA in dance from Connecticut College. Recent Choreo Credits: Guys and Dolls, Anastasia, Tootsie, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Beautiful (Curtain Call), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Crystal Theatre). Much burnin’ love to the cast & crew!
Matthew Stolfi (Music Director) Matthew is a music director, accompanist, and composer/lyricist based out of CT. His credits include Spelling Bee, Urinetown, Anything Goes, The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, The Addams Family, Matilda, The Little Mermaid, Mamma Mia!, Oklahoma, The Wizard of Oz, High School Musical, and The Pajama Game on the school/community theater level, and Romeo and Bernadette Off-Broadway. He attended Boston College and NYU for Grad School, and teaches choir at Brunswick Middle School in Greenwich, CT.
Jan Ursone (Production Stage Manager) Over the past several years, Jan has stage managed Guys and Dolls, Anastasia, White Christmas, Lion In Winter, Come From Away, King Lear, Anything Goes, Fiddler on the Roof, Sound of Music, Beautiful, It’s A Wonderful Life, and many more local Fairfield County and Curtain Call productions.
