Welcome
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I know that by the time some of you read this, 2023 will be more than a month old, but please indulge me.

The New Year brings great promise - 365 chances to do something wonderful. In our case, it's a full year to create great art through the collaborative process of theatre,
Hundreds of amazing volunteers will join us and that's one of the things that makes my job so fulfilling.

Starting the winter season here with Agatha Christie has become something of a ritual for us - last year we were riding the Orient Express at this time. And several other Christie mysteries have played in this time slot.
I confess, I am a HUGE murder mystery fan, so I love presenting Dame Agatha's works....especially this one, which has never played here.

Unfortunately, the bigger mystery for me right now, is how we'll maintain our operations as once again, our Dancing Stars fundraiser has been canceled. (This leaves a $100,000 hole in our budget.) One way that you can help is on February 23 - Fairfield County Giving Day.  As many of you know, Giving Day has been the second-largest part of our annual fundraising over the past 10 years. Sadly, this program, too, will be going away after this year.

I really hope we can count on everyone who sees A MURDER IS ANNOUNCED to make an online contribution on Giving Day. A contribution of just $10 per person would be terrific and could help us win some additional funding through Giving Day prizes. We would of course, appreciate larger gifts, too, but more importantly, we would love for you to ask your friends and family to donate as well. We want to make Giving Day the best, positive-result pyramid scheme ever..

Give me a call or send an email and I can explain how easy it could be for you to help. For now, sit back and enjoy a night of murder and intrigue.

Sincerely,

Lou Ursone
