It’s love at first laugh with The Second City! Bring your partner, lover, significant other, spouse, friend with benefits, friend with EXTRA benefits, platonic BFF, or your spectacularly single self to The Second City Swipes Right: An Incomplete Guide to The Ultimate Date Night, the brand-new experience you’ve been aching for. Spend a naughty 90 minutes with our caliente cast of comedians as they (consensually) annihilate everything that turns us on—and off—about love, dating, relationships, and everything else in-between the sheets.


TONIGHT'S PERFORMERS

MAUREEN BOUGHEY (She/Her) is thrilled to be a member of the Second City Touring Company. With The Second City, Maureen has also performed at The Kennedy Center in Generation Gap, aboard Norwegian Cruise Line's Gem, and as an understudy in the Mainstage productions Algorithm Nation or the Static Quo and Happy to Be Here. She is a graduate of the Syracuse University Drama Department and is the co-host of comedy/horror podcast, Creep Street Podcast. JENELLE CHEYNE (she/her) originally hails from Vancouver, Canada. She is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago and Comedy Studies. She has written and performed in Table Manners, Fa'China, Fa'China 2, and her solo show Let's Go Bobby. She sailed the seas on The Norwegian Breakaway with The Second City and is now delighted to be a part of The Second City Touring Company. INDIGO COAR (they/them) hails from New York where they received a technical theater degree from LIU Post. They've been working with The Second City for little more than a year, having recently come off of the run of Second City’s Queer Eye: The Musical Parody. When not in the booth, Indigo can be found drawing, dancing, and waiting for the 22 bus.

 

JAVID IQBAL (he/him) is bald, will never have hair on top again, and has a well lined up beard! You may recognize him from his 2 second appearance at the 2:08 mark in the music video for the very recent 2008 smash hit "Lookin Boy" by Hotstylz & Yung Joc.....and yes, that's him. Javid's also been in tons of other good stuff, just trust. In his spare time he watches and films comedy performed by his precious kids Jamil & Jamilah. You can catch Javid on TikTok @TheRealJavid or really on any social media and he is absolutely not too proud to beg for a follow, so please, God, please, follow him. Javid is represented by Paonessa Talent.

 

BILL LETZ (he/him) Born and raised on the southside of Chicago, Bill is happy to perform in a place that is a part of his favorite city's rich history. He started training at Second City roughly a decade ago and since has performed all over Chicago, as well as across the US and even on the high seas on the Norwegian Breakaway. He loves pizza and his puppy Two Scoops of Cookies and Cream. You can see pictures of her @letzey on IG.

 

ANNE LIBERA is an Associate Professor and coordinates the degree in Comedy Writing and Performance at Columbia College Chicago. She is an Artistic Consultant and Director of Comedy Studies for The Second City. She served as Director of Pedagogy for The Second Science Project in partnership with the Center for Decision Research at the University of Chicago. Her directing credits include: The Madness of Curious George, Computer Chips and Salsa, The Second City Goes to War, Are You There God? It’s Me, Katniss Everdeen, and Second City touring productions all over the world. 

Anne has presented on topics in improvisation and comedy for Aspen Ideas Festival, Code Conference, Chicago Ideas Week, Twitter, and guest lectured at the Stanford Business School and Northwestern University. Tim Metzler comes from Wisconsin and has spent the past decade as a comedian in Chicago. He’s represented by the amazing Paonessa Talent Agency. Most recently he shot an Amazon commercial and will appear in the next Kindle campaign. He’s understudied multiple Mainstage shows at Second City and is part of the National Touring Company. His voice work is on Spotify with the AM 1066 Radio Parody Podcast (@am1066) and The Garden Boys (@gardenboyshaha). He’s a member of Baby Wants Candy: The Improvised Musical, he’s a humorist for Greener Pastures Magazine (@greenerpastsat) and he’s a Featured Fantasy Sports Writer for FantasyPros. PAUL SOTTNIK (Music Director) is a multi-instrumentalist songwriter and performer currently living, teaching and working in Chicago, IL. Since earning a BA in music from Fredonia University they have worked extensively as a dance accompanist with many great companies including Hubbard Street Dance, The Joffrey Ballet and Ballet Austin. Yazmin Ramos (Understudy) is an actor, comedian, and writer who performs all around Chicago. Highlights include: The Second City's She The People Tour (San Diego Rep & Huntington Theatre Company - Boston), The Holy Fuck Comedy Hour (Annoyance Theatre), Burlesque is More (Annoyance Theatre). She is currently staffed as a silly little television writer on MeTV’s Toon In With Me. Represented by Grossman & Jack Talent.
