The Mexican American singer-songwriter Lupita Infante is part of an emerging generation of ranchera artists who are so deeply steeped in their tradtions that they possess the confidence and expertise to brilliantly remake them for their Millennial and Gen Z fans.

Lupita Infante was nominated at the 2020 Latin GRAMMYs® for her song "Dejaré" (cowritten with Luciano Luna). At the ceremony, she was backed by El Mariachi Sol de México to perform a warmly received tribute to grandfather. Her debut album La Serenata was also nominated at this ceremony, as well as the 2021 GRAMMYs®. In early 2022, she signed with Sony Music Latin as her career begins to develop and expand.

She makes her Sony Music Latin debut with the single "Hazme Tuya", which she cowrote with Alfredo "El Komander" Ríos. A fusion of mariachi, norteño and Sierreño music, it cleverly uses lyrics with multiple meanings to portray a woman who takes charge of the contours of a relationship.

Her name is instantly familiar to many, as she is the granddaughter of Pedro Infante Cruz (1917-1957), the most beloved Mexican singer and actor of the 20th century.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Nominated to the Latin GRAMMY in the Best Regional Mexican Song category with "Dejaré."
She performed at the 21st Latin GRAMMY gala the classic "Amorcito Corazón."
In April 2022, she performed the national United States anthem at Dodger Stadium as part of the opening ceremony.

Lupita Infante combina la tradición familiar - es hija del aclamado cantante y actor Pedro Infante Jr. y nieta del legendario Pedro Infante - con una rigurosa formación en la música de mariachi como egresada del programa de
Etnomusicología de la UCLA.

Después de años de desarrollar su sonido único, Lupita
Infante está lista para expandir sus horizontes con el apoyo de Sony Music Latin: "Tengo muchas ganas de mostrarle a Sony lo que puedo hacer. Cuando escucho el nombre de Sony pienso en grandes artistas, artistas a los que admiro. Me da la sensación de que estamos en las grandes ligas y vamos a ser muy exitosos" , dijo.

Atractivo para múltiples generaciones, su última canción "Hazme Tuya" nos brinda un sabor muy mexicano junto con una perspectiva moderna, su primer sencillo y video de la mano de Sony Music Latin. Escrita por Lupita Infante junto con Alfredo Ríos "El Komander" , esta fusión de música de mariachi, norteña y sierreña, utiliza hábilmente letras con múltiples significados para retratar a una mujer que se hace cargo de los contornos de una relación.

Lupita Infante, a Mexican American singer-songwriter and the granddaughter of the iconic Pedro Infante — Mexico’s most beloved singer and actor from the golden age of Mexican cinema — is part of an emerging generation of contemporary artists working to remake ranchera traditions for Millennial and Gen Z fans. Her debut album, “La Serenata,” was nominated for both a Latin Grammy and a 2021 Grammy. Lupita will perform songs from her new album “Amor Como En Las Películas De Antes” (Love like in the movies of before) her new album with Sony Music. Inspired by Lupita’s admiration for the golden age of Mexican cinema, it is an eclectic mix of new songs that honors both traditional and new Mariachi, breaking the generational barrier and making it distinctly her own all at once.
