Letter from the Director

Dear Friends,

As we prepare to share our production of A Christmas Carol, I am reminded of the profound power this story holds—both in its timeless message and its invitation to reflect on the true spirit of the holiday season. Charles Dickens’ beloved tale has resonated with audiences for generations, not only for its richly drawn characters and its vibrant portrayal of Victorian London, but for the universal themes of redemption, generosity, and human connection.

At its heart, A Christmas Carol is about transformation. It’s the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a man who is blind to the needs of others, consumed by greed and isolation until he is given the rare and precious gift of insight—a chance to see his past mistakes, confront his present choices, and glimpse the consequences of his future. Through this journey, Scrooge finds the courage to change, and in doing so, he discovers the redemptive power of love, kindness, and community.

The holidays are a time when we are often reminded of these same values. The season is full of opportunities to reconnect with what truly matters: our families, our friends, and our shared humanity. In a world that can sometimes feel fractured, A Christmas Carol offers us a vision of hope—one that challenges us to be more compassionate, more present, and more giving.

I am incredibly proud of the talented cast and crew who have worked tirelessly to bring this story to life. I hope that, as you watch, you will be reminded of the small acts of kindness that have the power to change lives—and that you carry that spirit with you throughout the season and beyond.

From our family to yours, we wish you a joyful, warm, and meaningful holiday season.

With gratitude,

Rob Bongiolatti
