Looking deep into the meaning of the word miracle I found this definition in a children’s dictionary. A miracle is “any amazing or wonderful occurrence.” Reflecting on my life it is surprising how many miracles I have witnessed from having a happy childhood, to finding my wife Karen, to having two healthy and wonderful daughters. For many in our world however, the miracles of innocence, trust, faith and optimism are shattered by harsh realities. We can’t choose the life events that occur around us, but we may have some choice as to how we let them impact our outlook on life. Susan and Doris embraced experience, mistrust, doubt, and reality. Kris Kringle restored their innocence, trust, faith and optimism. Now that is a miracle and that was the Miracle on 34th Street. I want to thank my cast and crew for bringing Miracle to life. From auditions to fruition I can’t think of a negative moment spent with cast and crew. They bring a spirit of joy and goodness to each rehearsal and it has truly been a pleasure. I am thankful for the experience we shared and hope to have many more similar experiences going forward. Special thanks to the children in the show that led the way, the adults that followed, my production staff who kept on us on the straight and narrow, and my wife and family who understand my need to take these journeys.
Special thanks to Chris, Morgan, and my wife Karen.
Merry Christmas!
