HAIM make their debut at the TD Pavilion at the Mann on Saturday, May 28 with special guest SASAMI.

“Biggest influences: mum and dad”, say Alana, Danielle, and Este Haim on Facebook. At home in Los Angeles, the sisters were raised on the greatest albums of the 1970s, so the comparisons with Fleetwood Mac are by no means unfounded. That said, the sisters cannot overemphasise their love of more recent sounds, such as Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar. On their first musical foray Days Are Gone (2017) they present the sum total of all their musical interests — light-hearted folk rock from the 70s laced with hip-hop from the 80s and the R&B of today. HAIM quickly hit the big time, making it onto everything from pure pop radio stations to more alternative channels. Women In Music Pt. III (2020) is the finest example yet of what they do so incredibly well: take the best of the past and make it sound like they invented it yesterday.
